What scaffolding do I need ?

We can help you out with that, our knowledgeable, experienced Contracts Managers will assist you at every stage of your job and initially make a site visit and liaise directly with you to assess exactly what scaffold is required to get the job done.

How quickly can the scaffold go up and down ?

From your initial call or email enquiry we will do our utmost to work to your specified time frame with regards to the installation of your job, we are very customer focused, so no problem if it is short notice and a quick turnaround, we enjoy a challenge and will do our best to get the job up in time. Scaffold removal will depend on the size of job and your location, but we always do our best to remove as soon as possible at a convenient time.

Do I need a permit to put the scaffold up ?

Permits/Street licences are only required if the scaffold structure is on a footpath or road and run for a maximum of 12 weeks (it can be renewed after this period), we obtain these from the local council and the cost for this if needed will be included in our quote, please allow 10 working days’ notice prior to date of works commencing for this process to be completed.

I am worried about damage to my property or garden ?

We like happy customers and our operatives are very conscious of avoiding damage to your property or garden on the installation of our scaffolding, this is never done intentionally, of course accidents do occasionally happen, should we notice any issues before we commence work, we will inform you in the first instance and on the rare occasion that the worst does happen, we will make sure that things are put right to your satisfaction.

Are your scaffolders competent to do the job ?

The law requires that individual operatives are competent in scaffold erection, dismantling and alteration, all our operatives are holders of a Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS) card and hold a CITB HSE working at heights card ensuring they are competent to carry out their duties. SRG is also accredited within the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) having demonstrated compliance with and sound management of current basic health & safety legislation.

Do you have insurance ?

If the scaffold is going on your private property it is always advisable and in your best interests to ensure that the scaffold contractor you use is fully insured should things go wrong. SRG has Public Liability Insurance of up to £10 million, so in the unlikely event that things do go wrong, don’t worry we have you covered.
